Sydney (VNA) – Vietnam’s leading tour operator Vietravel on March 9opened its representative office in Sydney, Australia.

This is the secondrepresentative office of Vietravel in Australia, after the first wasinaugurated in Melbourne in 2016. The Sydney office is the seventh of its kindopened abroad by Vietravel.

Vietravel Chairman andCEO Nguyen Quoc Ky said that the company will pay attention to overseas marketsin the next five years.

The opening ofoverseas representative offices helps Vietravel and Vietnam’s tourism sector aswell to actively exploit the international market and meet requirements onservice quality, he said.

Vietnam welcomed morethan 380,000 Australian tourists in 2018, of whom 7,000 used Vietravel’s services,Ky revealed.

After the initialsuccesses of the representative office in Melbourne, the company decided toestablish the new one in Sydney with the hope of doubling the figure in the2019-2020 period, he added.-VNA
