Phnom Penh (VNA) – Metfone, theCambodian arm of the military-run telecommunication group Viettel, presented150 gifts to needy Vietnamese expatriates in Phnom Penh on January 24.

The subsidiary has plans to deliver a totalof 600 gifts to disadvantaged overseas Vietnamese in seven Cambodian provincesand cities.

The donation was Metfone’s response to a campaignof the Vietnamese Embassy and Vietnamese businesses operating in Cambodia tohelp poor Vietnamese expatriate enjoy the traditional lunar New Year festival(Tet).

Previously, the Vietnam Embassy and the Bankfor Agriculture and Rural Development in Cambodia sent 200 gifts to needyVietnamese households in Kandal province’s Kien Svay district.-VNA
