The Vietnamese businesses are displaying their products at the sixth Cambodia Import-Export One Province One Product exhibition and the Ayeyawady - Chao Phraya - Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) trade exhibition in Phnom Penh.
The Dec. 15 opening ceremony saw the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Keat Chhon, Minister of Commerce Cham Prasidh and Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang.
With the participation of 262 companies from 17 countries, the four-day event also includes joint activities to boost trade among ACMECS member countries, including Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam, to realise the initiative adopted at the fifth ACMECS Summit in Phnom Penh on November last year.
Trade between Vietnam and ACMECS has kept growing in the recent years and is expected to reach nearly 12 billion USD this year.
In the first ten months of this year, two-way trade between Cambodia and Vietnam reached nearly 2.3 billion USD, up 57 percent over the same period of last year./.
