A delegation of Vietnam , an official member of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Governing Body, has attended its 312 th session in Geneva , Switzerland.
Ambassador Vu Dung, Head of the Vietnamese Permanent Mission to the United Nations, World Trade Organisation (WTO) and other international organisations in Geneva , joined the delegation at the opening of the session.
The session, which is taking place from Nov. 3-18, will consider and decide 55 five issues relating to ILO’s activities, including employment and social welfare policies, labour law and international labour standards; social equality in the globalisation process, as well as reformed functions of the ILO Governing Body and General Assembly.
Vietnam was elected as an official member of the ILO Governing Body for the 2011-2014 term last June./.
