State Auditor General of Vietnam Dinh Tien Dung held talks with his Lao counterpart Boursi Lovansay in Vientiane on April 25 during the former’s visit to Laos.
The two sides informed each other about auditing operations in their respective countries.
They spoke highly of the effective cooperation during the past, including the enhancement of visits to boost cooperation and mutual understanding.
State Audit of Vietnam assisted Laos in raising capacity for its auditors and also proposed a project to assist State Audit of Laos to build a training centre for the Lao audit agency in Bolikhamsay province.
The two sides expressed their pleasure at successes within the framework of the annual meetings between State audit agencies of Laos , Vietnam and Cambodia .
To deepen bilateral relations, Lao State Audit hopes its Vietnamese counterpart will send experts to train auditors for Laos , help it map out a strategic plan until 2020 and share public audit experience through joint meetings and seminars.
The two sides pledged to continue to support each other at multilateral forums, especially within the framework of ASEAN Supreme Audit Institutions, to assist further development.-VNA
