Vietnamese movie “Bi, dung so” (Bi, don’t be afraid) was screened at the second Francophone film festival, which is taking place in Paris from Jan. 31 to Feb. 7.

The event was jointly organised by the Ile-de-France Council and the International Francophone Organisation in a bid to promote the French movie industry and the use of French language as an active tool for the global development, democracy, solidarity and connectivity.

The film, “Bi, dung so” made by Vietnamese director Phan Dang Di, has won several awards at the international events, including special mentions for young Asian directors at the Vancouver international film festival , Critics’ Week awards at Cannes in 2010 as well as an award for new film makers at the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival in 2010./.
