Hanoi (VNA) - Coach of Vietnam futsal team Miguel Rodrigo and his students aredetermined to stand among the top four of the 2018 Asian Football Confederation(AFC) Futsal Championship as they did in 2016 to earn a ticket to the finalround of the 2020 FIFA Futsal World Cup.

The Vietnam FootballFederation (VFF) on December 30 said Rodrigo has announced the list of 20players to play for the 2018 Asian Futsal Championship’s final round, includingexperienced ones such as Van Huy, Van Vu, Duc Hoa, Trong Luan, Quoc Nam, andNgoc Son.

The coach also pinshis hopes in new players, including the best goalkeeper of the National FutsalChampionship 2017 Nguyen Hoang Anh, Nguyen Dac Huy, Chu Van Tien, and NguyenAnh Duy.

The Vietnam futsalteam are scheduled to gather in Ho Chi Minh City on January 2.

The final round of the2018 AFC Futsal Championship will take place in Taiwan (China) from February1-11 with the participation of 16 teams divided into four groups.

In the qualifyingmatches, Vietnam will complete with Malaysia on February 1, Bahrain on February3, and Chinese Taipei on February 5.-VNA
