The team dropped one place in the world rankings compared to last quarter as FIFA hasn’t added points for their winning matches in the 25 th Southeast Asian Games in Laos .
In the Southeast Asian region, Vietnam stands top with Thaland and Myanmar as runners-up. While in the Aisan region as a whole, Vietnam rank 6 th behind the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea , Japan , China , Australia and the Republic of Korea .
FIFA has also said that with the recent outstanding performances, the national men’s team climbed seven places in comparison to the last month in the world rankings.
At present, Vietnam rank 123 rd out of 201 teams worldwide and fourth in Southeast Asia .
Thailand is 105 th in the world and still top the region. Singapore and Indonesia follow./.
