The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) used funding for its Agent Orange victims charity in gifts to hundreds of disadvantaged AO/dioxin affected families in 36 provinces and cities nationwide on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.
VNA’s Fund for AO Victims Director Vu Quoc Khanh on Feb. 9 further said that on this occasion, the fund helped build two charity houses worth 30 million VND each in Phu Tho and Quang Tri provinces and presented wheelchairs for AO victims in Hanoi and Nam Dinh province.
Since its establishment, the fund has received support from individuals and organisations at home and abroad with the largest donation of 1.4 billion VND from the Greek Embassy in Vietnam .
The Greek Embassy also presented the fund 90 wheelchairs./.
