VNA, Thanh Hoa sign media cooperation agreement

The State-run Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the central province of Thanh Hoa have signed a media cooperation agreement for the 2015-2017 period.

Under the deal signed in the locality on December 25,both sides will reciprocally share information, with the VNA to helppromote the potential and advantages of Thanh Hoa as well as investmentopportunities in the province to the public at home and abroad.

VNA Director General Nguyen Duc Loi, in his speech, said VNA hasbecome a trustworthy and strategic information centre of the Party andState, and a prestigious news agency in the region after nearly 70 yearsof establishment and development.

Towards the goal ofbecoming a national media corporation, VNA has developed various mediaforms, from print and electronic newspapers to television, he said,affirming that the agency’s up-to-date, accurate and mainstreamreporting will bring the information about Thanh Hoa to every corner ofthe country and around the globe.

Secretary of Thanh Hoaprovincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’sCommittee Trinh Van Chien expressed hope that both sides will build aneffective partnership for mutual development.-VNA

Hanoi accelerates shift to green buses, targets 100% by 2030

In the 2027–2030 period, the city will accelerate the transition towards the complete phase-out of fossil fuel-powered buses. The share of electric and green energy-fueled buses is projected to reach 79–89% by 2029 and 100% by 2030.
