VN's film festival welcomes overseas producers

Local film makers and their counterparts from nine countries around the world will take part in an international film festival in Vietnam from December 8-12 in Ho Chi Minh City.

The 16 th Vietnamese Film Festival, entitled “For a modern andintegrated Vietnamese film industry,” is open to local film producersand movie makers from Cambodia , China , Finland , Japan , Laos , theRepublic of Korea , Russia , Singapore , and the US .

The festival is a good opportunity for Vietnamese film makers toexchange their experiences and work with their overseas colleagues,according to the Ministry of Information and Communication.

It will also be a pleasure to honour innovative domestic film makersthat have contributed to the nation’s movie industry within the pastyear.

City movie fans will be able to enjoy the best and latest movies and to meet their favourite celebrities./.
