War heroes repatriated from Laos

Representatives fromLaos’ Bolilkhamxay province, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry ofLabour, Invalids and Social Affairs and the High Command Zone 4 as wellas Ha Tinh provincial leaders and locals attended the ceremony.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of theprovincial People’s Committee showed his deep gratitude to the fallensoldiers who sacrificed their lives for the Vietnam-Laos friendship.

After the memorial service, the sets of remains, which were collectedin Laos during the 2014-2015 dry season, were reburied at the Nammartyrs’ cemetery in the locality.

Millions ofVietnamese soldiers laid down their lives for national liberation duringthe two resistance wars against French and US forces as well as ininternational missions in Laos and Cambodia.

Thousands of fallen soldiers are still unaccounted for across Vietnam and the two neighbouring countries.

The search for, gathering, repatriation and re-interment of themartyrs is conducted annually, receiving due attention from the Partyand the State.-VNA

Quang Ngai to remove hundreds of unregistered fishing vessels

To date, Quang Ngai has 5,194 registered fishing vessels, with data regularly updated in the National Fisheries Database (VNFishbase). The provincial licensing rate for fishing activities has reached 81.94%, while 99% of local vessels required to install vessel monitoring systems (VMS) have complied.

A total of 351 communes free of temporary, dilapidated houses

From February 21-28, 7,540 temporary and dilapidated houses were renovated or replaced nationwide, bringing the total number of facilities improved under humanitarian policy to 115,481. Of these, 62,737 houses were inaugurated, while construction began on another 52,744.

Tay Ninh strives to eliminate temporary houses by Q2

Vietnam set to host Vesak 2025 with thorough preparations
