World heritages in Japan to be introduced in Hanoi

A photo exhibition entitled “World Heritages in Japan” will be held at the Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Hanoi from July 26 to August 9.
A photo exhibition entitled “World Heritages in Japan” will beheld at the Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Hanoifrom July 26 to August 9.

The exhibition will introduce aphoto collection of Kazuyoshi Miyoshi that features the worldoutstanding natural and cultural heritages in Japan added toUNESCO’s world heritage list.

They include“Shirakami-Sanchi Mountain Range”, “Yaku-shima Island”, “Himeji-joCastle” and the “Buddhist monuments of the Horyu-ji Temple Area”, whichwere recognised in 1993.

“Genbaku Dome”,“Itsukushima-jinja Shrine”, the “Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara”,the “Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto (Kyoto City, Uji City and OtsuCity)”, the “Gassho-zukuri Villages of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama” andthe “Shrines and Temples of Nikko”, recognised between 1994 and 1999,will be also on display.

Born in 1958 in TokushimaPrefecture, Kazuyoshi Miyoshi has won many awards and his photos arenow exhibited in a number of museums in the world.-VNA

At the Thai Festival, from March 28 night to March 30 morning in Hanoi, visitors explored typical Thai dishes, along with health care and beauty care products and traditional handicrafts. They also enjoyed traditional dances from many regions of Thailand, tried making Khanom Krok coconut cakes and painting patterns on silk, among other activities.
