Xmas congratulations to southern parishioners

He said he hopes that the priests willcontinue encouraging religious followers to actively response topatriotic emulation movements in a joint effort to enhance the nationalsolidarity.

Pastor Nguyen Thanh Kinh, head of theVinh Long chapter of the Vietnam Protestant Association in southernregion, pledged to call on parishioners to follow the policies of theParty and the law of the State and make more contributions to the localsocio-economic development and security maintenance.

Catholicism and Protestantism are two major religions in Vietnam,with nearly 7 million and over 1 million followers, respectively.-VNA

National, local traffic safety committees to be dissolved from June 1

Under the dicision, ministries and ministerial-level agencies will assume responsibility for tasks previously performed by the committee, in line with their mandates under the Law on Government Organisation, the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, the Law on Roads and other relevant legal frameworks, ensuring that traffic safety and order are maintained without disrupiton.
