Phnom Penh (VNA) – Two-way trade between Cambodia and China was valued at 4.8 billion USD in 2016, up 200 million USD from a year ago.
Of the volume, Cambodia's export to China was more than 830 million USD and China’s export was 3.9 billion USD.
Cambodia exported goods, including rice and rubber to China, and imported construction materials, equipment and electronics.
Earlier, the Cambodian Trade Ministry predicted the two-way trade was only 4.3 billion USD for 2016.
Besides, Cambodia received 4.2 billion USD in development aid from China, including non-refundable aid and loans as of 2017. The assistance mainly focused on infrastructure development, agriculture, health care, education and social welfare.-VNA
