A get-together was held in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on October 1 to celebrate the 64th National Day of China.

Addressing the event, Standing Deputy Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Hung Dung said the Vietnam-China diplomatic ties have come a long way over the past 64 years.

He said the friendship between Vietnam and China is a common treasure of the people in both countries, hailing the important common perceptions reached by the two nations’ leaders on developing Vietnam-China links over the past years.
