Heritage education programme proves effective

The heritage education programme at Thang Long Imperial Citadel and Co Loa relics site has contributed to helping students understand and love the heritage and respect the cultural values of the nation.

The heritage education programme was implemented by the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center in coordination with Hanoi city Department of Education and Training.

It is designed for elementary and secondary students visiting Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi.

The new approach in heritage education has received a warm response from students and parents.

The Thang Long- Hanoi Heritage Conservation Centre revealed that in 2018, more than 19,000 students participated in the centre’s educational programmes at Thang Long Citadel and Co Loa relic site.

Through the programme, the Thang Long site managers expect to enhance awareness of young people on the values of Thang Long Imperial Citadel and the importance of safeguarding it.-VNA
