Hanoi (VNA) – A bridge lying on a strategic road linking Nant Phat Kar village in Kutkai city and Shan state in the north of Myanmar has collapsed, interrupting the traffic between the two areas.

According to the local media, the Bay Li Bridge, located 6.4km from Nant Phat Kar, was destroyed in a mine explosion by an unidentified armed group at about 7:30 am on May 26 (local time).

If using the union highway, it takes more time from Nant Phat Kar to Nam Kham via Muse, the northernmost border town in Myanmar.

Nant Phat Kar is seen as the shelter of the alliance of some armed groups in northern Myanmar.-VNA
