As Tet (or Lunar New Year) festival draws closer, ornamental plant botanists in Hanoi have received a raft of orders for pomelo, peach blossom, and kumquat trees. Ornamental vases come in all shapes and sizes, meeting the varied demands of consumers.

In order to meet the ever-increasing demand of customers, ornamental plant growers have come up with various eye-catching designs, including delightful pigs, which is the animal featured to represent the upcoming lunar year according to Eastern belief.

Besides kumquat trees, ornamental garden owners have also turned to pomelo trees with selling prices ranging from 450 to over 1000 USD.

However, kumquats and peach blossoms are still people’s favourite for Tet holiday.–VNA
