Hanoi (VNA) – General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong hosted a reception in Hanoi on March 23 for President Moon Jae-in of the Republic of Korea, during which the host highlighted the significance of Moon's current visit to Vietnam.
The Party chief expressed his belief that the visit will contribute to deepen the cooperative ties between the two countries, while highly valuing the development of Vietnam-RoK cooperation in various fields, especially economic trade and investment affiliation.
Vietnam always attaches importance to the relations with the RoK, he said, suggesting the two governments continue taking measures to boost cooperation in areas, creating a firm political, economic and social foundation and further deepening the Vietnam-RoK strategic cooperative partnership.
President Moon, for his part, attributed the bilateral relations’ strong development over the past 25 years to common efforts of the two countries’ leaders and peoples.
