Domestic and international tourists voted for the top 100 interestingthings about the southern metropolis, including museums, architecture,historical and cultural sites, and traditional markets, as well asnightlife and entertainment venues, southern foods, special cultural,sports and tourism events, and trademark souvenirs.
 
Followingthe results, the top five most beautifully designed monuments includeNotre Dame Cathedral, Giac Lam Pagoda, the Central Post office, theMunicipal Theatre of HCM City (Sai Gon Opera House) and Hai Thuong LanOng Quarter.

The five most popular historical and culturalvestiges include the Cu Chi guerrilla warfare tunnels, ReunificationPalace, Sac Forest war area (Can Gio District), Thien Hau temple, andNgoc Hoang Palace.-VNA

Dong Nai launches ceramic festival

Bien Hoa ceramics are famous with a unique celadon glaze, “vert de Bien Hoa.” The “vert de Bien Hoa” glaze is made from ash glazes and copper alloys, which emerged in the 1920s. It is used to make large flower vases, animal statues, or roof tiles.

Kien Giang works to combat IUU fishing

Since the beginning of this year, Kien Giang province has imposed administrative fines on 15 VMS-related cases, totalling 760 million VND, down 11 cases compared the same period last year. Additionally, 35 cases related to IUU fishing have been handled, with total fines of over 325 million VND

Coast Guard Region 2 promotes IUU-free fishing among Quang Ngai fishermen

The Command of Coast Guard Region 2 briefed the fishermen on the Law of the Sea of Vietnam, the Fisheries Law, and legal documents related to IUU prevention. Officers also provided guidance on identifying areas under Vietnam’s sovereignty and jurisdiction, traditional fishing grounds, warning zones, and prohibited fishing areas.
