The 14th National Assembly wrapped up its second Q&A session of this tenure after three working days in Hanoi on June 15.

Hanoi (VNA) – The14th National Assembly wrapped up its second Q&A session of thistenure after three working days in Hanoi on June 15.

The sessions focused onpublic concern, including agricultural restructuring, management of culturaland tourism activities and and maintenance of social ethics, health check-ups,medicine prices and grassroots healthcare and use of resources for development.

Commenting on the event, NASecretary General Nguyen Hanh Phuc said the topics of discussion were practicaland reflected the concerns of the public.

Minister of Planning andInvestment Nguyen Chi Dung received 19 questions, the most of any official,which touched upon slow disbursement, sporadic investment and shortcomings inthe enforcement of the Law on Public Investment.

Deputy Prime Minister VuDuc Dam and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien easedconcerns over planning for the Son Tra national tourist area in the centralcity of Da Nang, receiving high praise from lawmakers.

The government will decideon this issue in the spirit of sustainable development, Dam affirmed.

Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh respondedto questions about delayed and inefficient projects, delayed litigation, trafficjams and the marine environment, among others.

In conclusion, NAChairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said the Q&A sessions took place in ademocratic, straightforward and constructive atmosphere. NA deputies showedtheir sense of responsibility in questioning and arguing with the officials.

The Government membersreplied to all queries, clarified many issues, straightforwardly accepted responsibility,suggested solutions and vowed to improve, she added.-VNA
