Hanoi (VNA) - Forty-five kids’ playgroundswill built in 20 disadvantaged localities starting from next month, a signingceremony between the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation (HYPO)’s Counciland the Southern Rubber Industry Company in Hanoi on September 28 heard.
Costing 10 billion VND (432,000 USD), theplaygrounds will be built in areas with large numbers of children of industrialpark workers. Construction is to finish by next May.
Chairman of HYPO’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Luong said thejoint programme is to mark the 80th anniversary of HYPO (May 15, 1941 - 2021)and the 45th anniversary of the Southern Rubber Industry Company.
He asked relevant agencies of HYPO to effectively evaluaterecently-built playgrounds in order to improve quality into the future.
As of the end of August, some 5,700 new playgroundshad been built for children around the country./.
