Ho Chi Minh City’s police have detected 40 foreigners, all Chinese, who entered Vietnam illegally on March 5-6.

HCM City (VNA) –
Ho Chi Minh City’s police have detected 40 foreigners, all Chinese, whoentered Vietnam illegally on March 5-6.

Of the people, five werefound staying at a hotel and confessedthat they came illegally to Vietnam from China’s Fujian province via unofficial channels in Vietnam’s northern border region, and caughta bus to the city.

Thirteenothers were found on a bus parked in front of another hotel where the remainders were staying in.

Thelocal police have instructed competent forces to collect samples of the peoplefor COVID-19 testing, and put them into quarantine in line with pandemicprevention and control regulations.

Theirillegal immigration is also under further investigation./.

Hanoi offers free parking, public transport during Lunar New Year

During Tet, Hanoi offers free parking at selected schools and locations surrounding central heritage sites. In addition, single-journey fares are waived on the Cat Linh–Ha Dong and Nhon–Hanoi Station metro lines, while subsidised public bus services across the city are operating free of charge during the holiday period.
