The national-level ceremony and parade commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – 2025), organised by the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, the National Assembly, the State President, the Government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, and Ho Chi Minh City, began at 6:30am on 30 April along Le Duan Boulevard and several central streets in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
On the morning of April 30, 2025, a solemn and special flag-raising ceremony accompanied by the National Anthem was held at the historic Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi capital, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025).

A state-level full-dress rehearsal for the grand parade, marking the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975–2025), was held along Le Duan Street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, on April 27 morning, with the participation of around 13,000 people.
The preliminary state-level rehearsal featured 25 military and militia formations, 17 police formations, 12 formations of mass organisations, along with the marching of military forces from China, Laos and Cambodia.
