According to the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics, the quake struck at 2:55pm (Jakarta time) with the epicenter 64 km east of the province and a depth of 10km under the seabed.
Minutes later, a 5.1-magnitude quake hit the country's easternmost province of Papua with a depth of 10 km.
Indonesia is frequently hit by quakes as it sits on a quake-prone zone of "the Pacific Ring of Fire”./.
