- Party General Secretary To Lam has urged the health sector to conduct reforms to overcome difficulties and challenges, thus ensuring the goal of universal healthcare in the new context, towards building a modern, equitable, and efficient healthcare system.

During a working session with representatives of the Ministry of Health (MoH) on February 24 to review the sector's recent performance and discuss its orientations and tasks, the Party chief applauded the sector’s remarkable progress over the last seven decades, saying that it meets the increasing demand for healthcare and medical treatment for the people. - State President Luong Cuong on February 24 chaired a meeting of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform, which focused on reviewing the progress of judicial reforms, outlining priorities for this year, and discussing the 2025 work programme and internal operational regulations.
At the meeting, the first held in 2025, participants also gave opinions on legal frameworks related to the death penalty and its enforcement. Read full story
- Politburo member, Secretary of the Government’s Party Committee, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presided over a conference to announce the committee’s decisions to establish 15 new Party organisations in Hanoi on February 24.

PM Chinh ordered the Party organisations to develop working regulations, assign responsibilities, and establish coordination mechanisms between the Party committees at all levels as well as between the committees and competent agencies to ensure stable and effective operations under the new model. - Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long has signed a decision approving a project on developing networks of technology talent training centres by 2030.

The project aims to establish at least one or two networks of such centres in each priority technology sector serving Industry 4.0. Read full story
- Vietnam's exports will continue to enjoy a strong competitive advantage in the Dutch market due to tariff reductions under the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), according to the Vietnam Trade Office in the Netherlands.
Trade Counsellor Vo Thi Ngoc Diep noted that the Netherlands is currently Vietnam’s largest European investor and second-largest export market. Conversely, Vietnam is one of the Netherlands' top Asian trading partners and among its 20 largest goods suppliers. Read full story
- Hanoi plans to build three bridges crossing the Red River between 2025 and 2030, with a total investment of approximately 47.982 trillion VND (1.9 billion USD).
The Hanoi People’s Committee has submitted a proposal to the municipal People’s Council for approval of investment plans and adjustments to several public investment projects, including the three bridges. Read full story
- The northern coastal province of Quang Ninh is planning more than 170 events, including 24 international, national, and provincial-scale programmes along with 150 local festivities with a view to luring 20 million visitors this year, according to the provincial Department of Tourism.

The calendar features the Ha Long Carnival 2025 scheduled for the April 30-May 1 holiday period, the Miss Sea Vietnam global beauty pageant in May and June, and the artistic spectacle legends of the heritage land” slated for the second quarter. A particular highlight is the Art for Climate Festival - Ha Long 2025, being organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment in Ha Long city from February to June, encompassing 20 distinct activities.
