Air New Zealand maintains direct flights to Vietnam

Air New Zealand has announced it will continue operating direct flights between Auckland and Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City.

Hanoi (VNA) – Air New Zealand has announced it will continue operatingdirect flights between Auckland and Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City.

Theairline said in 2018, it will run two weekly flights connecting the twodestinations on every Tuesdays and Saturdays, using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

ChiefRevenue Officer of Air New Zealand Cam Wallace said after pilot flights in2016, passengers from New Zealand showed their excitement about Vietnam.

Accordingto the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, from January to July 2017,the number of New Zealanders to Vietnam soared by 119.5 percent from the sameperiod last year to 27,203.

The number of Vietnamese visiting New Zealand was also on the rise, hittingover 6,000 in 2016.

Vietnam tourism promoted at Canadian travel, vacation show
