Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved a plan to popularise pre-school education for children aged five, with all of them receiving pre-school education.
The plan envisages maintaining and improving nursery schools for children aged between three and four, and building more nursery schools meeting national standards in disadvantaged districts.
Under the plan, the current rate of children aged 3-4 attending nursery schools will be maintained while sufficient schools will be built for children aged five.
By 2015, the country will have 39,000 pre-school classrooms built with concrete for children aged five, and provide training for 22,400 pre-school teachers./.
