Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Pham Xuan Son has affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to boosting the Vietnam-Russia strategic partnership and links between the two countries’ localities.
Meeting with leaders of Ulyanovsk during his visit to this Russia’s southern province from July 20-22, Ambassador Son called on businesses from both nations to deepen economic, trade and investment ties among localities in a more concrete and effective way.
He also expressed his hope that provincial authorities will continue helping Vietnamese expatriates integrate into the host society.
The provincial leaders said they treasure the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership and wish to help cement all-round links, especially in economics, trade and investment.
While working in local universities, the two sides laid out a number of measures to promote education-training cooperation. They suggested sending more Vietnamese students to the province in the coming years.
During the visit, the Vietnamese delegation laid a wreath at a monument dedicated to late President Ho Chi Minh. They also toured several farms, production facilities and shopping malls owned by overseas Vietnamese.-VNA
