Ancient ship emerges on coast of Hoi An

An ancient wooden ship, almost intact, has been uncovered on the beach of Hoi An Tay ward, Da Nang city, in recent days after Typhoon Kalmaegi struck central provinces, with Da Nang among the hardest-hit localities. Experts estimate the vessel dates back to between the late 14th and 16th centuries, describing it as a rare maritime treasure in Southeast Asia.
