In its indictment, themunicipal People’s Procuracy said from November 16, 2017 to December 5, 2018, Pham Thi Doan Trang, born in 1978 and residing in the city’s Dong Da district, made, stored,and distributed documents and articles with anti-State content. In herinterviews given to foreign media outlets, she distorted the State’s guidelinesand policies, defamed the people’s administration, and spread fabricatedinformation, stirring public concern.
Trang confessed she was theauthor of the so-called report on the law on belief and religion in Vietnam,and that she and others created this report in English, then translated it intoVietnamese, and posted on their website.
The procuracy held that Trangmust hold criminal liability since she repeatedly made, stored, and distributeddocuments with content against the State of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam./.
