Buenos Aires (VNA) – A representative from the Argentine Foreign Ministry has underscored the country’s commitment to step by step lifting cooperation with Vietnam, both bilaterally and multilaterally.

The affirmation was made at a friendly meeting hosted by Vietnamese Ambassador to Argentina Dang Xuan Dung with representatives of local public agencies and organisations in Buenos Aires on March 14.

The Argentinian side praised the growth of the bilateral relations and affirmed that Vietnam is among the most important trade partners of the country in Asia.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Dung said the bilateral comprehensive partnership has grown across fields, highlighting the State visit to Vietnam by Argentine President Mauricio Macri last February as a milestone in propelling the ties forward.

He also mentioned a series of important diplomatic events that have been successfully organised. They included activities in celebration of the 45-year Vietnam – Argentina relations (October 25, 1973 - 2018), the Vietnamese Film Week and Vietnam Day in Argentina, and the sixth meeting of the Vietnam-Argentina Intergovernmental Committee on Economy and Trade.
