The ASEAN- India Car Rally, a trans-national march to mark two decades of the India-ASEAN Dialogue Partnership, have arrived in Vietnam with 124 members representing India and eight ASEAN countries.

The rally, jointly held by the Governments of India and ASEAN countries and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), kicked off in Yogyakarta city on Indonesia ’s Java Island on November 26. Lasting until December 20, the journey covers other ASEAN countries of Malaysia , Singapore , Thailand , Cambodia , Laos and Myanmar.

In Vietnam , the group made stop-overs at the southern provinces of Tay Ninh, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc and Ho Chi Minh City . During the stay in HCM City , the crew will join activities to promote HCM City as a dynamic city as well as a tourism destination.

The rally helps foster friendship and cooperation as well as tighten the connectivity between Vietnam and India, according to the Chief Minister of Assam State, Tarun Gogoi.-VNA
