AusAID, WB support Vietnam’s human resource development

The Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) has signed an agreement to fund phase II of the Vietnam Blended Learning Programme, managed by the World Bank through its Vietnam Development Information Centre (VDIC).

The 900,000 AUD grant over five years (2011-2015)is a continuation of a 674,000 AUD trust fund that AusAID contributed toVDIC for the period of 2004-2010.

The Vietnam Blended LearningProgramme aims to support Vietnamese institutions’ projects through theuse of innovative learning methodology in their education and trainingprogrammes, such as applying information and communicationstechnologies.

The programme is inviting organisations to send letters for funding provision./.

Over 1.2 million students begin national high school graduation exam

Under the current examination format, candidates are required to complete the mandatory Literature and Mathematics tests, along with a combined test comprising two subjects selected from a range of options, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Foreign Languages, History, Geography, Technology-Industry, Technology-Agriculture, and Economics-Law. Students may also choose to take a foreign language different from the one studied at school.
