Bac Giang (VNA) – The Department of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs of the northern province of Bac Giang on March 7 held an online recruitment event connected to 12 cities and provinces, drawing nearly 100 enterprises with the total demand of about 40,000 labourers.
The online recruitment site of Bac Giang was linked with websites for employment service centres in Bac Ninh, Hanoi, Hai Duong, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Son La, Hoa Binh, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, and Vinh Phuc, detailing information on job vacancies, salaries, bonuses, and social welfare for each job.
In Bac Giang alone, 17 local enterprises, including five in labour exports, registered to join the online employment event with a total of 12,000 vacancies.
According to Vice Director of the Bac Giang Department of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs Le Quang Trung, activities like e-recruitment fairs are among the top solutions to connecting labour supply and demand sources, facilitating the stable and healthy development of the labour market.
He said that in the future, Bac Giang will strengthen its provision of labour market information and both short- and long-term forecasts; connect with vocational training facilities to compile suitable training programmes; improve the quality of recruitment facilities; and increase IT application in connecting supply and demand sources.
On the occasion, the Bac Giang Employment Service Centre signed a memorandum of understanding on labour supply with the Bac Giang College of Technology, the Vietnam-Korea College of Technology, the PT Daehan Global Yen Dung company, and Siflex Vietnam Ltd.
By the end of the online event, 250 labourers were able to find new employment. –VNA
