Hanoi (VNA) – German band Bad Boys Blue willperform at Hanoi’s Cultural Friendship Palace on January 3 night, as an openingfor their activities this year.

The concert will begin at 8pm, featuring a Euro-Disco-stylestage and songs selected for Vietnam by British-German singer John McInerney,the frontman of the band. 

Bad Boys Blue’s international hits, including You're aWoman, Pretty Young Girl, I Wanna Hear Your Heartbeat, and Come Back and Stay,are popular in Vietnam and often played along on festive occasions like NewYear’s Eve, festivals, or weddings.

In 2017, the band and singer Sandra Ann Lauer were expectedto perform in the country for the first time on the night of March 11 atHanoi’s National Convention Centre. However, they had to cancel the show afterMcInerney suffered from serious injuries in an accident in Russia. The concertwas later changed to a Sandra Ann Lauer live show.

Two original members of the band died in the past decades.The remaining original member, John McInerney, still performs with two femaleback vocals, Sylwia McInerney and Edith Miracle.-VNA
