Binh Duong (VNA) –
The southern province of Binh Duong and two Cambodian provinces of Kandal and Kratie have agreed to enhance cooperation and twining activities for 2018-19 period.

Under a document to this effect was signed in Binh Duong on October 17 between the two sides, the Military Commands of Thu Dau Mot city, and Thuan An, Di An, Tan Uyen and Ben Cat towns and their counterparts in Kandal and Kratie provinces will bolster collaboration in the exchange of delegations, information and culture-sports activities while working together in the search for and repatriation of remains of the Vietnamese volunteers and soldiers who laid down their lives during wartime in Cambodia.

Regarding twining activities, they will share experience in building their organisations, coordinate to ensure security of both sides, while agreeing to hold meetings every six months or unscheduled meetings to address complicated issues.

They will conduct regular delegation exchanges, carry out free medical checkups and medicine for poor residents in the localities, and create favourable conditions for citizens living in the two countries in line with current regulations of both sides.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee of Binh Duong province Dang Minh Hung affirmed that the minutes signing helps promote traditional and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia. -VNA
