Hanoi (VNA) – The Kim Dong Publishing House has released a pictorial book series written by Russian authors to mark the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Year and the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Year in 2019.
The publication is also intended to celebrate the 70th founding anniversary of the Vietnam-Russia diplomatic relations in the next year.
The series, created by Vitali Bianki and Vladimia Sevchenko, is based on a journey of two elephants which were Vietnam’s gift to Saint Petersburg city of Russia in 1954.
The elephants have become a symbol of friendship and solidarity between the two nations, which was fostered by late President Ho Chi Minh./.
