Cambodia, Japan exempt visas for diplomatic, service passport holders

Cambodia and Japan have agreed to grant visa exemption to diplomatic and service/official passport holders for a period of 30 days, according to local media.

This visa exemption scheme willbe announced during the ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit to be held onDecember 13-15 in Tokyo , Japan, according to an announcement of theCambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation onDecember 9.

Both sides also agreed on the issuance oflong-term and multiple-entry visas for a period from 1 to 3 years toholders of ordinary passports, said the announcement, adding that theissuance of the said visas will be implemented on December 11, 2013.

Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperationsaid the move is aimed to facilitate and promote people to peopleexchange between Cambodia and Japan.-VNA
