Cambodian parliament president to pay official visit to Vietnam

A high-ranking delegation of the Cambodian National Assembly (NA) led by NA President Heng Samrin will pay an official visit to and attend activities in Vietnam from June 23 to 26.

Hanoi (VNA) – A high-ranking delegation of theCambodian National Assembly (NA) led by NA President Heng Samrin will pay anofficial visit to and attend activities in Vietnam from June 23 to 26.

During the visit, Heng Samrin will take part inactivities marking the 50th estabishment anniversary of the two countries’diplomatic relationship. 

He will also participate in a meeting of thepresidents of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Lao Front for NationalConstruction and the Solidarity Front for Development of the CambodianMotherland.

The trip will be made at the invitation ofChairwoman of the NA of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, the Vietnameseparliament’s Committee for External Affairs announced on June 20.-VNA

The April 30, 1975 victory was not only a triumph of unwavering determination and the great solidarity of the Vietnamese people under the Party’s leadership, but also a symbol of aspiration for national independence, freedom, and peace, Party General Secretary To Lam told heroes and veterans from various forces directly engaging in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign in 1975.
