Can Tho University, a member of the ASEAN University Network (AUN), announced that its biotechnology and aquatic farming training programmes have recently been accredited as AUN - Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) programmes.
President Ha Thanh Toan said the university now offers three programmes meeting AUN-QA standards – biotechnology, aquaculture and agricultural economics, adding that the educational establishment is continually working to advance its teaching quality.
As part of its 49 th founding anniversary celebration, the university established a Foreign Language Faculty and inaugurated a 9-storey educational facility.
Founded in 1995, the ASEAN University Network consists of 30 members across the region.
Can Tho University (CTU) is an important State higher education institution in the Mekong Delta. Currently, it has 77 undergraduate, 28 Master- and 8 Doctoral-training programmes. Every year, the CTU receives interns from the US, Belgium and Japan.-VNA
