Ca Mau (VNA) – The Standing Board of the Party Committee of the southernmost province of Ca Mau is accelerating efforts to do away with temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025 through mobilising a collaborative approach to support vulnerable communities.

Guided by the powerful slogan "Together for the Poor – Leaving No One Behind”, the Party Committee recently issued a decision to set up a steering board in charge of the housing work.

The Standing Board ordered enhanced communications to raise public awareness of the significance of improvements to substandard housing, mobilisation of resources to accelerate the work and keep it on course, as well as inspections and supervisions.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Nguyen Duc Hien laid stress on the humanitarian significance of the campaign, saying it will help the impoverished stabilise their lives while contributing to sustainable poverty alleviation.

The official expressed his hope that organisations and individuals will continue supporting the local fund for the poor and social welfare programmes so that the province could construct 3,253 new houses and repair 742 others by September 2, 2025./.
