Quang Tri and Thua Thien-Hue provinces on April 30 held ceremonies to receive trees and stones as gifts from the Naval Force and people in Truong Sa archipelago.

The Navy High Command handed over each province with 21 pieces of coralstone and tropical almond trees – which symbolise 21 islands all overthe Truong Sa archipelago.

The gifts are evidence to assert thenation’s sovereignty over its seas and islands as well as determinationof the Vietnamese people to defense the country’s territorial integrity.

The presence of the invaluable souvenirs of TruongSa is expected to contribute to educating Vietnamese people and soldierson Truong Sa archipelago sovereignty and boosting solidarity betweenpeople in the mainland to people and soldiers in Truong Sa./.

Phu Tho: 200kg bomb safely relocated, detonated

According to a report by the Phu Tho Military Command, local residents spotted the bomb on August 31 in the Da River after the river water receded, exposing it beneath mud and soil on the riverbed. The bomb remained intact, including its fuse, and was located about 300m from a residential area.

Under a draft decree replacing Decree 63, authorities will have to proactively pull information from databases and records for informational or technical procedures. Applicants would no longer be required to resubmit documents, and certification or information requests could not be turned into discretionary licensing through an “ask – give” mechanism.
