French professor Odon Vallet on August 30 granted 377 scholarships worth 1.2 billion VND to outstanding students and pupils from the central provinces of Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Ha Tinh.
Over the last ten years, Vallet foundation has presented 2,688 scholarships worth nearly 5 billion VND to outstanding Vietnamese students to encourage their studiousness.
The foundation has offered 4.88 billion VND for construction of schools’ infrastructure and purchasing of teaching equipment.
As a doctor of law in the France-based Sorbonne University , Odon Vallet devoted all of his family inheritance, worth 100 million EUR, to grant scholarships to poor students in France and Vietnam./.
