On January 6, 2026, in Hanoi, the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the State President, the Government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee held a ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnam National Assembly (January 6, 1946 – 2026).
