Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam RecordAssociation and the Vietnam Records Organisation (VietKings) granted a record certificateto the Advanced International JSC (AIC) in recognition of the company’s Japanesecherry blossom festival in Hanoi on April 23.
The annual event aims to promote culturalexchanges, friendship and mutual understanding between the Vietnamese andJapanese people.
After four years of successful organisation, thefestival has become a venue for local people and tourists to admire thousandsof cherry blossom trees and branches transported from Japan to Vietnam.
Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce andIndustry Vu Tien Loc said the festival symbolises Japanese culture and describedit as a cultural ambassador of Japan.
It also helps promote investment between the twocountries, he said, adding that many cooperation contracts, projects andprogrammes between Vietnamese and Japanese localities have been signed duringthe festival.
AIC Chairwoman of the Board of Directors andGeneral Director Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan said the company is honoured to receivethe Vietnam Records certificate and this will be a great source of motivationto continue implementing collaboration programmes between Vietnam and Japan.
The Japanese cherry blossom festival, which tookplace in Hanoi from March 29 to April 2, attracted more than one million visitors.
Nearly 30,000 cherry blossom trees and branchesalong with local flowers were displayed at the event.
The festival also featured Japanese andVietnamese cuisine and traditional art programmes, and a conference on tourisminvestment.-VNA
