Chinese private businesses are interested in building rubber processing and waste management plants in Thailand.

They showed their interest during a meeting with Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha met on the sidelines of the 22 nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Beijing , China on November 10-11.

Chinese enterprises want to build a rubber processing plant in Thailand but they need help from the local government, they said.

The Prime Minister has ordered a committee to study the feasibility of this investment opportunity. If the rubber processing plant can be set up, they will benefit the nation by generating more income through the elevation of rubber price.

However, everything must proceed in accordance with the regulations of the Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI), he said.

Regarding the building of a waste management plant in Thailand , Chinese companies are confident that the quality of garbage in the country is in good condition, which will allow the plant’s incinerator to generate a high level of heat. This will also help deal with excess waste in Thailand .

The Prime Minister said that this is a good opportunity for both countries, but everything must be implemented transparently to prevent any corruption.-VNA
