Chinese State Councilor Guo Shengkun met visiting Myanmar Minister of Home Affairs Lieutenant-General Ko Ko in Beijing on November 13, vowing to boost bilateral cooperation in law enforcement and security.

According to Xinhua News Agency, Guo, who is also Minister of Public Security, expressed hope that the two countries step up exchanges of cooperation in high-level visits, and anti-terror operations and the fight against drug smuggling and transnational crimes.

He also called for more cooperation in safeguarding security and order in the Mekong River region, in a bid for regional peace, stability and prosperity.-VNA
