China’s Qinghai province will organise a fair showcasing itsproducts in Hanoi from October 28-31 as part of its efforts topromote trade with Vietnamese partners.
The eventwas introduced at a press conference jointly held in Hanoi on October24 by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), the Chinese Embassy inVietnam, the authorities of Qinghai province and the VietnamChamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
Accordingto Le Hoang Oanh, deputy head of the MoIT’s Trade Promotion Department,the fair - the first of its kind held in Vietnam - is expected toattract 80 businesses who will display the province’s specialities suchas agricultural products, garments, carpets, herbal medicine, food, newenergies and materials, equipment and electronics.
The fair will feature 80 internationally standardised kiosks whereQinghai province’s economic development achievements andhigh-quality products will be introduced, said Niao Chengyun, Directorof the provincial Department of Trade.
He expressedhis hope that the event will help Qinghai specialities penetrateVietnam ’s market in particular and Southeast Asia in general.
During the fair, Vietnamese and Qinghai businesses will meet to share experience and introduce their potential.
China is now the largest trade partner of Vietnam , with two-waytrade between Vietnam and China growing from 7.1 billion USD in2004 to 41.2 billion USD in 2012.
It is the biggest provider of tourists to Vietnam and also the most attractive destination for Vietnamese students.-VNA
